The characteristics of kissing pinces
To pinch, to tighten : this is the meaning of the French verb 'pincer' from which our beloved pinces take their name.
The history of pleats is very long, having been created at the same time as trousers, and still today they tastefully characterise the most classic trousers.
There are different types: single pleats, double pleats, outward facing (English style) or outward facing (French style)… and with each type of pleat you get different results.
For our CONTEMPORARY COTTON line we have opted for a different type of pleat, perhaps less used, namely the kissing pleat .
As we can see from the photo, they are two darts that start from the same point and go down looking at each other… or better yet kissing , as their name suggests.
Advantages of Kissing Pinces
They create a comfortable and soft fit , comparable to that of double pleats, but with a different aesthetic, less used and therefore more particular.
Undoubtedly, those with a robust physique benefit greatly from wearing trousers with this type of pleats, but they are also always chosen by those with a slim build but who love to dress comfortably and elegantly.
