Open the doors of Made in Naples tailoring to share with the world an ancient art reinterpreted through new and modern stylistic awareness.

This, in short, is the idea and mission of Pietro Lauro and Filippo Galoppi , one an expert in digital marketing and the other a tailor with a contemporary vision.

“After years of research, we wanted to create something that was uniquely ours.”

Hence the desire to change, using one's talent and knowledge in the sector to create a new tailored clothing brand that tells a true story .

«Our story begins in Naples, where the tailoring tradition is centuries-old (the first Neapolitan tailors known to us date back to the 14th century) and for this reason we feel like spokesmen for something that flows in our blood»

Unlike other brands, Virum was born, grew and developed entirely in Naples.

All the processes are carried out by master craftsmen who possess the sacred fire of the Neapolitan tailoring tradition.

"Ours is a concept of timeless luxury ," explain Galoppi and Lauro. "Beyond fashion, in a world projected towards fast fashion, what interests us and what is dear to us more than anything else is to create garments that can reflect the style of those who buy them not just for a season but forever ."

An example and representative of the concept of timeless luxury made in Naples are the Virum tailored trousers which in their entire essence possess and enclose the philosophy of the brand.

«As with every other item in our collection, we studied every detail of the trousers» they specify.

Making a tailored pair of trousers requires many steps and a lot of work. Work that Virum does alongside those who are destined to do it.

«We like to be present in all the phases of the construction of the garment: from the selection of fabrics in the most famous Neapolitan draperies to the insertion of details such as buttons, strictly Made in Italy, or various customizations»

The result is a pair of tailored trousers with modern lines that focus first and foremost on quality and fit .

For the fall/winter 2019-20 collection, Virum was inspired by the birthplace of tailored trousers: Naples and its most famous locations.

Neapolis, Pausilypum, Pathenope and Vesuvius are in fact the four models that express the Virum sartorial style.

A collection that respects the formal dictates of the past but reinterprets them with the addition of particular, innovative, original fabrics and colours that can well reflect the taste of a modern gentleman .

Not just flannels or Tasmanians, but warm and comfortable cottons, imaginative rock-climbing velvets in line with current trends.

The colors instead range from optical white, passing through Bordeaux and electric blue, ending with greens and browns typical of the winter range. Without forgetting the classic blacks, grays and blues in keeping with tradition.

«To make the world aware of the true Neapolitan sartorial tradition» is what the two founders of Virum would like. In a historical context in which Made in Italy is also applied to workmanship almost entirely produced abroad, Virum has decided to believe and invest in totally Italian garments.

And they add "we would like to involve our customers more and more in the development of our creations, because we believe that direct relationships and their opinions are fundamental"

For this reason, on their website there is an active customer care service dedicated to the MTO section (meet to order) and not only, which allows customers to interface with the managers to request small changes or additional information.

The MTO section also looks to the future and is a novelty that Virum has chosen to introduce to begin producing in an increasingly responsible and eco-sustainable way, avoiding waste.

«It's a dream, a mission that every day, despite the obstacles, we try to achieve.»
