There is something we have been wanting to tell you for a long time, that we have kept in our archives until now and that we can't wait to show you. We at Virum are proud to introduce you to his new project, which will soon see the light, born in collaboration with Marco Taddei, a famous blogger in the tailoring world, and Lanificio F.lli Cerruti, an important brand in the Italian weaving scene.
The Urban Safari Project
The project in question is called Urban Safari and involves the creation of a Safari Jacket , designed by Marco and tailored by Virum , in collaboration with Lanificio Cerruti . The Urban Safari is born from the reinterpretation of the classic hunting jacket, modified in a tailored style, adding elegance and class.
Delicate lines, which follow the male body and enhance its shape. The jacket was made in a denim and silk fabric, thanks to the centuries-old expertise of Lanificio Cerruti. The model is single-breasted with three buttons ironed with two and will soon be available on the Virum e-commerce site ( www.virum.it ) in three different shades.
After Marco's drawing, we proceeded to create the pattern of the jacket, the cutting and sewing of the basted jacket, arriving at the realization of the first fitting, held a few days ago at the F.lli Cerruti showroom in the center of Milan. The Urban Safari will soon be available on our e-commerce and can be purchased in the ready to wear version, that is, ready to be worn, Made to Measure, and BeSpoke. The last modality will be purchasable during our trunk shows in Milan.
Who is Marco Taddei?
Marco Taddei is a successful influencer, well known in the menswear sector . He has been working in the fashion world for ten years, a gentleman whose style looks to the past, trying to revisit the cult pieces of fashion of the past in a modern way . Marco is an old friend of ours and we decided to give life to the Urban Safari project a few years ago, but following the pandemic, unfortunately, the project has only been able to materialize now.
We are sure that, as we at Virum are young entrepreneurs with a lot of passion and desire to do, together with Marco, whose ideas are always innovative and original, we can do a lot to satisfy your desire to stand out.

Who is Lanificio F.lli Cerruti?
Lanificio Fratelli Cerruti was founded in 1881 in Biella as an Italian fashion and clothing company. It produces fine fabrics for haute couture. Nino Cerruti , president of this renowned and internationally renowned house, is an artist who has been able to rewrite the history of fashion. A true gentleman, whose values go hand in hand with Virum's style. We have chosen to entrust this wool mill with the choice of fabrics for the image of Italian fashion that Cerruti brings , but also for its modernity and its unique and unmistakable elegance .
