With the first trunk show of the SS 2021 season, on May 13th, Virum organized an important event in Milan in partnership with Marco Taddei and Lanificio F.lli Cerruti 1881 for the presentation of the “Urban Safari” capsule collection.
During this event, the jackets from the collection were shown to customers and all the gentlemen who attended, by organizing a bespoke event.
The Virum tailoring, the Lanificio Fratelli Cerruti 1881 and the Influencer Marco Taddei have joined forces to create a unique garment, of high style and quality, which has definitely met the taste of the many lovers of male elegance.
Location
The chosen location was the Milanese headquarters of the prestigious Biella wool mill, at Il Salotto di Milano, an elegant set in the San Babila area featuring a refined roof overlooking the heart of Milan.
The atmosphere of the event was reminiscent of a real “period living room”; a place to meet to talk about what you like. A place to choose and have made exclusive garments, tailored according to the tastes and needs of those who request them.
The Urban Safari, the undisputed star of the event, was created in collaboration with influencer and tailoring expert Marco Taddei and in partnership with Lanificio F.lli Cerruti 1881.
An unusual coat, inspired by hunting jackets worn in the past, but revisited in a tailored version and made with a fresh and youthful fabric.
A summer coat, completely unlined, with the unmistakable Neapolitan shoulder and unique comfort and versatility, thanks also to a more comfortable fit.
The plus of this completely new garment lies in the chosen fabric: an intelligent fabric, created from the centuries-old experience of the Cerruti 1881 wool mill, in stretch denim and silk, which dresses the male body with elegance and freshness, enhancing its curves.
The event
The event turned out to be a real success and all customers were able to try the Bespoke experience, view the entire Cerruti collection, all the fabrics produced by this historic company, have a style advice from Marco Taddei and obviously, have all the support of Virum for the creation of the requested garments.
They were also able to touch the Urban Safari with their own hands and were amazed by the fabric chosen.
Thanks also to MTM and BESPOKE manager Giuseppe De Corato, who enthusiastically welcomed our idea, shared this project and managed to create a well-structured synergy between all parties, thus contributing optimally to the event and to the newly formed partnership, with which other projects will be presented in the next collections.
There have been many orders for this splendid garment, orders have also been gladly received from women who love men's outerwear and the founders of the ancient Neapolitan tailoring Virum, Piero and Filippo, have offered a consultancy service and supported all requests, personalising each garment based on the size and fabric required.
The event ended with a great coffee and a talk about style and elegance. A pleasant afternoon of good taste, savoir-faire and style.
