We at Virum could not miss taking part in this important event dedicated to men's fashion, immersing ourselves completely in a 3-day event full of many meetings but above all of many ideas to be developed in our tailoring. We therefore want to take you on a journey into fashion from which you will return transformed. In recent days the walls of Fortezza da Basso have welcomed the frenzy and enthusiasm of a thousand styles, inspirations and moods proposed by the 1240 exhibitors from all over the world and scattered throughout the various sections of the event. The theme of this edition is POP: Pitti Optical Power, a virtual and visual celebration made of strong colors and striped games that come to life both in the square of the Fortezza and inside each stand. There have been numerous events in which we at Virum have taken part, such as the return to the fashion shows of the Roberto Cavalli Group, which presents a preview of a men's collection symbolizing rebirth under the enchanting setting of the churchyard of the Certosa di Firenze. Under the influence of this innovative drive, we tried to grasp the most important signals that fashion wanted to communicate that translate into a desire for lightness, that a dress, a fabric must transmit to free man from austerity and daily stress. What we noticed is that if before Pitti Uomo was the place where buyers and sellers talked profitably, today while maintaining this imprint, it has become a large stage on which everyone can show off their style. On the other hand, Pitti Uomo shows a deep respect for elegance that translates into attention to the sartorial world, a true bastion, promoter of a refined style. Our meetings We met new and well-known faces during the event such as Sergio Tricomi with Lo White, who has been in the fashion sector for years, specialized in the production of high-profile footwear and a lover of bespoke and tailored suits. We cannot fail to mention the famous Mungai family from Pistoia, a symbol of the tradition of hand embroidery to which we at Virum are particularly attached precisely because we share the same passion for hand made and Lino Ieluzzi, a true icon in the world of Italian tailoring, thanks to his Albazar boutique in Milan. The meeting with Fabio Attanasio was truly interesting, whose character of a "man of other times" struck us not only for his spontaneous elegance, but above all for his availability and kindness in listening to us and enthusiastically welcoming all the ideas that we would like to develop in the future. Undoubtedly Pitti Uomo remains one of the most engaging and exciting fashion experiences in the Italian panorama as it is able to create connections and synergies in the fashion sector as well as being a place where our ideas of elegance and innovation find a right place.
