Our Response to Coronavirus
What until a few months ago was a process in progress today becomes a moral imperative to respond to the crisis generated by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Sustainability in the fashion industry
Producing responsibly, avoiding waste that affects the delicate balance of the ecosystem cannot be futuristic visions but must already represent the present . In these past months, spent in our homes seeing images and realities that we thought were far from us, there have been many reflections that have accompanied our days.
One in particular: the entire world must build a new future after Covid-19 and it must do so in the name of ethics .
This revolution must affect all sectors, including fashion.
How to reduce waste
We have always identified ourselves as a slow culture brand, not subject to passing fashions but inspired by timeless elegance . This is why our collections are not seasonal and designed based on current trends but reflect the taste of the contemporary gentleman at 360 degrees who can enrich his wardrobe with clothes that he will wear for his entire life .
However, we felt the need to communicate our commitment in this direction even more and respond to “fast fashion”, that is, the tendency to have everything, in disposable version, always at hand without respecting the seasons. A frivolous and consumerist way of doing fashion that is now immoral… especially given recent developments.
Our philosophy responds to needs that are becoming increasingly absolute: no more waste , no more pollution, no more fast production.
For this reason we will be increasingly projected to offer our customers customizable and Made to order garments, avoiding overproduction. In fact, customization is the new frontier of fashion, but it also responds to ethical needs.
More quality and less waste will therefore be our modus operandi .
We will produce less but by making garments that are cared for in the smallest details and will last over time. The idea of buying a jacket that will no longer be in fashion the following year is not contemplated and falls within those practices erroneously inculcated by fast fashion, which we must absolutely distance ourselves from.
The customer at the center of our world
It is and will be essential for us to develop a sales process in close contact with our customers so as to establish a relationship of trust that can translate into garments created individually and specifically for them.
We will increasingly try to implement eco-sustainable processes and materials in all stages of production, starting with the choice of natural fibers and ending with packaging without plastics or derivatives.
In our small way we want to do something to respond to this crisis that is not only economic but also moral that we are experiencing.
Each of us can do something.
